A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for Linda S. Sheets, 61, who died at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at her residence at 623 South Marion St. following a sudden illness. The service will be at the Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, where calling hours are today from 4 to 8 p.m. The body was cremated today and a private family graveside committal service will be conducted at Mossburg Cemetery Tuesday. Miss Sheets, a 1959 graduate of Bluffton High School, completed one year of study at Ball State University. She was employed at GTE for many years as a telephone operator in Bluffton and Fort Wayne. She also worked at Hardees Restaurant in Bluffton for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bluffton. She was born in Wells County July 25, 1941 to Paul P. and Doris (Wolf) Call Sheets, both of whom are deceased. Surviving are two sisters, Sandy McFarren and Michelle Sodervick, both of Bluffton; a brother, Rodney Call of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces. Rev. Bud Abrams will conduct the memorial service. Memorials to the Wells County Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association."
